"After some initial correspondence by email about various panels, power optimisers and their relative merits, I arranged for a visit to look at the site and quote for the job. They arrived on time and were very thorough and professional as they assessed the job, explaining everything clearly and answering all my questions (I had quite a few of them). I’d had other visits by ‘salesmen’ from different companies but I could tell immediately that these guys were different because they actually do the installing themselves and were right up to speed with the latest technology. I particularly liked their proposed use of ‘Solar Limpets’ – a roof tile replacement system for fixing the support rails without the need for poking a metal bracket under a tile that would lift the tile (making it susceptible to water ingress) or the need for grinding a bit off the tile to make it sit flat. They also recommended SolarEdge Power Optimizers to overcome the drop in efficiency of the whole panel string by the underperformance of one or more panels due to shading or the angle of the sun. (No other company who quoted for me recommended these.) They were also willing to fit any panel of my choice.
I received quotes for 3 different panels/systems by email that same evening. Price was never going to be the sole factor in deciding which company to use, but I have to say SolarTech were lower than most for comparable systems. I eventually chose to go with my choice of BenQ SunForte PM318B01 panels because they were the most efficient I could afford and, at 327W each, I only needed 12 panels instead of the usual 16 x 250W panels of other makes/models to get almost 4kW.
The scaffold went up the day before they came to do the installation. They estimated a day and a half to do the job but it rained almost solidly for 2 days – I did feel sorry for them – and there is only so much that they could do inside the house without completing the outside. It took them another half day to finish. Unfortunately there was a fault which took them another visit to trace and fix after contacting SolarEdge helpline. But it’s up and running now and I’m really pleased with the look and efficiency. Being a bit of a ‘techy’, I really like the online monitoring of the system’s performance - even down to the level of individual panels – provided through SolarEdge.
Gareth, John and Jack were always polite, did a really neat job (especially inside) and cleared up after themselves - a pleasure to have doing the work. I can thoroughly recommend Solartech Installations."

"There was no, what I would call sales waffle, and after they had left, saying they would send us a quote, which was done via e-mail, we decided to go ahead with the installation. It was good decision.
We were kept informed at every stage of the installation, and they were punctual at all times. They organised the scaffolding, the EPC agent, and the commencement of the job and with dates to suit us, and after we had agreed on the timetable, that timetable was kept. The helped us fill in the rather complicated FIT forms and from the time that the scaffolding went up to the commissioning of the installation was 3 days.
They made sure that everything was kept orderly and tidy, the service was exceptional and they were a pleasure to deal with."

"I received a detailed quote from Solartech by email within a few days of the initial meeting. Still, there was no hard sell. We obtained a quote from another company. The Solartech quote was much more competitive and we signed the contract. There was good contact at all times and I was very impressed with their professionalism.
The scaffolding was erected the day before the solar panels were fitted and then John Ryder and his business partner Gareth Gill arrived to prepare the roof and fit the panels. These two men were a pleasure to have around and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were meticulous and kept everywhere clean and tidy while they worked. They were trustworthy enough that I left them to work alone in the house and outside without any concerns.
The solar panels look great on our roof. We opted for the black ones as we thought they looked less noticeable. They have been installed for over two weeks now and we are extremely pleased with them. I have to admit I am still excited to see the electric monitor in our kitchen showing that we are using NO electricity at times when the sun is shining!
I have no hesitation in recommending Solartech Installations Ltd if you are considering having solar panels fitted."

"Just to say what a superb installation you have done, it’s working like a dream. I would like to say that I should have done this solar energy, years ago. The engineers (Gareth & John) were of excellent character in every way, they were clean and tidy in all aspects of the installation and I recommend them to anyone who is thinking of installing solar energy."

After asking for price as they were in the area, the quotation came within hours not days or weeks, arranging a meet to talk over the quote was great and were happy to do so, all my questions I had were answered on the spot.
The Quality of work was second to none, as I work nights these guys fitted the whole roof with solar panels and I didn't even notice they were there. when they were finished everything was neat and tidy and were and out within 2 days.
As far as the panels performance, they have been on for about 3 months now and made around 1100 unit, which is a very good start.
If I ever needed solar panels or any energy saving device these guys would be my first protocol."

"I am very satisfied at the level of service, punctuality, efficiency and cleanliness of SolarTech Installations Ltd following the installation of solar panels to my companies first new build property. I fully intend to be back in touch with these guys for future developments. "Exceptional installation and very professional company. They were very helpful and gave full information of the product. At the end of the installation they left the area very clean which showed the pride they have in their work – highly recommended!"
"We are so glad that Solar Tech Installations Ltd agreed to help us. Within days a new panel was delivered and it was fitted soon afterwards. Our original installation proved to have many defects, some very serious and potentially life-threatening. Solar Tech repositioned all the panels, carried out roof repairs, rewired and brought the whole system up to the correct electrical and safety standards. We were shown every defect and the proposed remedial actions were carefully, thoroughly and politely explained. First-class materials and work practices were used throughout and the site was left tidy. Appropriate signage was fitted and full documentation supplied.
We consider the amount charged to be most reasonable and are pleased to recommend the company to both anyone in a similar predicament to ours and those looking for first time installation.
We are so grateful to John and Gareth and are in the throes of entering an annual maintenance contract with them."

"Just had PV panels installed by Solartech. Excellent job. All the team were punctual. Professional, polite and extremely patient. They had plenty of time to,answer our questions and consulted us whenever there was a decision to be made to complete part of the job. The job was installed on tIme and was very neat in appearance, inside and outside the house. The slight amount of mess which is inevitable on work such as this was cleaned up,each day and everything was left as it was found. I would not hesitate in recommending this team and would certainly use them again should the need arise. Left as it was found. "
